It's a Wii Themed Party!
Posted on 10.15 by design arsitektur
Amy Wilges came up with this creative idea for her sons birthday. The Wii themed party started off with guests arriving and getting their mii badges to wear during the party. Clever idea!
Wii controller cake. Check out Amy's site for more party info.
Jo-Ann said, "Hanging on the door leading to the play room (the venue for the tournament) was a chart containing cards for each person's Mii. This was used to create brackets for the tournament. The bracket cards were held in a classroom chart purchased in Target's dollar spot. (dear Target, how did I ever live without you?)."
More Wii party ideas....
Heid from Kevin and Heidi also had a Wii party. Heidi said: "What a great party....we had all Camerons friends from school come for a tournament....The events were Wii sports...bowling, Donkey Kongas with bongos, Guitar Hero III, and Mario Kart for the grand Champion....IT was sooo much fun and a way crazy day!!"Heidi describes the obstacle course, "Mario obstacle course....we even had the mystery boxes full of fireballs...lemon heads....coins...turtle shells....TURBO....hee hee...kinda funny....they especially loved going through the tubes!!!! They felt like they were in a mario game!!" Found via Tipjunkie
Even more Wii party ideas...
Jo-Ann from Pumpkin Petunia had some wonderful ideas for her sons Wii party. Yes, these Wiimotes are made of paper! Jo-Ann describes making these, "When the tournament concluded and the winner was crowned, the guests left with their own Wiimote filled with treats. The wiimotes were made from paper using a pattern found here {via mumbojumbo}. I printed the pattern on 100 lb. cardstock and they were very sturdy, but did take some extra time to fold. Be prepared to spend some time cutting and folding, about 4 minutes per. " Found via Tipjunkie.
